Sometimes you have to get a little messy to make it work. 

I'm using large pieces of graphite to create these drawings based on the architecture in Noyers. 

Working in France

Working on a small sculpture. I was given this great antique workbench to use. It is so sturdy and well built it will last another hundred years.

I'm working on several small pieces as well. By using photography I can capture and distill what I find interesting. 

Residency in France

Today is my first full day in Noyers, France. I've managed to create a new large drawing, shoot some preliminary photographs, and basically get things rolling.

New paper

I'm using some new paper for my drawings. This is Strathmore 500 series with a vellum finish. 

Summer Residency in France

This summer I will be an artist in residence in Noyers-sur-Serein, a historic village less than two hours from Paris.
One of my goals is to create work based on my interpretations of these unique surroundings.
