Residency in France

Today is my first full day in Noyers, France. I've managed to create a new large drawing, shoot some preliminary photographs, and basically get things rolling.

I'm using some new paper for my drawings. This is Strathmore 500 series with a vellum finish. 

Summer Residency in France

This summer I will be an artist in residence in Noyers-sur-Serein, a historic village less than two hours from Paris.
One of my goals is to create work based on my interpretations of these unique surroundings.

I've been making some drawings with graphite and alkyd paint lately. This is one of the smaller ones  I framed the other day. Framed size overall is about 13 x 13 inches.
